Gigabit DHE is a 1-Gigabit
bandwidth aggregator for the distribution loop. GB DHE is
related to the RAMNET system. It interfaces to the Distribution
Loop at 100Mbps and the Area Loop at 1-Gigabit. It is an element
of the Area Loop, which acts as the Head End for the Distribution
Loop. In case of loop failure, the DHE automatically selects
the redundant path for communication. The Distribution Loop
break and establish condition is detected within 200msec
Multiple DHEs can be connected in a loop topology to realize
large network. The hardware and firmware is field programmable
and can be upgraded from remote head End. Multiple MB-DSLAMs
can be connected in a loop topology to realize large network
